“So do not be afraid of them... 29Are not two sparrows sold for a pennyd? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. 30And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Regardless of the context (I do not fear for my life), it is hard to comprehend that God knows not only when a relatively invaluable sparrow falls, but how many hairs are in my head. Harder still, that he loves me enough to care.
The next time you walk the beach, notice the feathers that litter the sand. None fell outside of God's will or without His knowledge. Yet, He cares even more about the "feathers" that fall in my life and yours.It should not surprise me that the God who created the universe is so actively involved in sustaining it, but it does. I remain astonished at the value he places on my life. Every experience, every moment of my life is seen in the context of the eternal purpose He has for me... and He cares about each one. That is priceless.
